I’m a 24 year old self-taught ceramicist based in Austin, TX & have been doing pottery for about 3 years now.

Starting in my parents garage in 2022, megsmud was originally created as an escape from chaos of everyday life. 

Each piece I’ve made is a love letter to the colors, moments, & seasons of my life—things I’ve loved, colors that move me, & the grounding presence of the earth itself.

I hope my work finds its way into your everyday, reminding you of the quiet magic in simply being.
